Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit

The Busan-Gimhae Light Rail Transit (부산-김해경전철) is an automated guideway transit system under construction between the cities of Busan and Gimhae in South Korea. The line has a planned length of 23.92 km with 18 stations, and a design capacity of 176,000 passengers per day.[1]

Construction of the line started in February 2006, for completion in April 2010.[1] The line is a joint venture between POSCO and Hyundai Rotem, and has a budget of 9,738 billion won.[1] The line will be fully automated and will use standard gauge.[2]
