Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Neil Budworth may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. --Gary Kirk (talk) 10:12, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Chris Weale

Unfortunatly you copied that from here so it violates copyright and had to be deleted. You must write articles in your own words. Please read Wikipedia:Copyrights. Thanks. I have also deleted the following for the same copyright problem Steven Collis, Nathan Jones (footballer), Colin Miles, Terry Skiverton, Adam Lockwood, Ross Turnbull, Lee Hopkins, Solomon Haumono, Anton du Beke, Tim Hartley, Matt Gafa, Luke Dorn, Nick Bradley-Qalilawa and Izabela Hannah. Please do not create any mmore. Thanks CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 06:22, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sheffield Wednesday

Thank you for experimenting with the page Sheffield Wednesday F.C. on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

It is perfectly acceptable for there to be red links on pages on Wikipedia. This indicates that an article that is of interest has not yet been written and encourages further contribution rather than simply identifying a dead link. The red links have therefore been restored to the article. Dan1980 22:07, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removing redlinks

Why are you dewikifying seemingly every football article on Wikipedia? Mark272 20:51, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Please stop dewikifying redlinks. Thank you. Lion King 13:49, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Redlinks

Hello Burnside,

I see you've been removing a lot of redlinks recently. Please don't do that. Redlinks are not errors — they are an important feature of Wikipedia, showing where articles need to be written. And when a new article is written, it allows all the related articles to link to it immediately. Basically, all topics which might have an article in the future should have a redlink.

Thanks,

Stephen Turner (Talk) 17:17, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Please don't add copyrighted text to Wikipedia
One last time. Please stop cutting-and-pasting from copyrighted sites, like cricinfo and ecb.

Mohammed Sheikh [3] (I have stripped out your C&P), Ismail Dawood [4] (I have stripped out your C&P), Colin Povey [5] (I have marked the marked whole article as copyvio). Mr Stephen 19:25, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

You have been temporaraily blocked from editing Wikipedia because your repeated copy and pastes after numerous warnings can be construed as vandalism. You are welcome to make constructiv eedits if you return when your block expires in 48hrs, but repeated violations will result in longer blocks. The JPStalk to me 10:57, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

yes i have understood the better ways of writing articles without copying i have looked at other pages and websites they have put as links and looked at easier ways of putting down all information thankyou.

[edit] Yet To Be Unblocked

I was banned until 10 55 august 11th but have not been unblocked.

That's because you tried at 10:38. It's now 11:00 and you should be OK. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 11:00, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Ok thankyou the times are bit slow i still seem to be blocked.

[edit] Still Blocked

Hello my user name has been unblocked but my i.p. address is still blocked address is 82.46.147.18 it was blocked by autoblock..

(CCed from the Unblock mailing list)

It looks like our autoblocker blocked your IP address. The autoblocker blocks the underlying IP of a blocked user, but the autoblocker should have stopped blocking you after your original 48 hour block expired. Since you still experienced the block, I unblocked what appeared to be your IP address (I don't know for sure because our logs hide IP addresses for IP purposes). If you are still experiencing the block, please let us know.

Thank you for contacting the Unblock list,

DP (Deathphoenix ʕ 12:48, 11 August 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Manual of style

You are strongly encouraged to consider following the Wikipedia Manual of Style, since many of your edits are departing from the customary guidelines in ways that other editors report as being very disagreeable. Wikipedia does not require writers to follow all or any of these rules, but their efforts will be more appreciated when they do so. Casper2k3 15:25, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

The above recommendation is seconded. Kukini 15:31, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Editing Concerns

  1. Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Please do not delete wikify requests. Instead, please learn how to edit within our manual of style. Kukini 15:37, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deleting pages

There are several ways of deleting content in Wikipedia, but simply replacing the copy with "NEEDS DELETING" and renaming the article "speedy deletion" is not one of them. The process to be followed when two separate pages describe the same subject (eg Dave Hibbert & David Hibbert) is a "merge", see WP:MM. Regards Mr Stephen 17:06, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removing redlinks - please don't!

As a number of other people have said above, please do not remove redlinks from articles. Thank you. Loganberry (Talk) 01:11, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Categories

Hi remember to categorize e.g Category:Welsh footballers . Go through your articles and add this. Otherwise your articles will be lost in the index. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 10:20, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Please see categories for Chris Gunter. you can copy these where relevant. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 10:38, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ryan Laight

A tag has been placed on Ryan Laight, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Springnuts 19:44, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
