[edit] Ghost sighting

I think this section needs a serious edit. Firstly, its on the A3 and is not Burpham. Secondly it is very sensationist and not encyclopedic. Does anyone have any views? SuzanneKn (talk) 18:41, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

This is going to sound very much as 'I like it', but then I did track down the references to make sure that the information was properly cited and 'accurate', and then copy-edited it. It is certainly on the A3, but it was on the section of the A3 that passes through Burpham, so it is certainly in the right article. As for 'encyclopedic' -- does it do any harm? I think it raises the interest level of the article above the thousands of other articles on English villages. You need to be careful with the article, start removing the 'possibly trivial' and you might have very little left :o)
(BTW, have you seen Exploding animal?) -- EdJogg (talk) 23:59, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Oh you have such little faith in these small pages about villages in Surrey. The excitement of doomsday articles and suburbanisation in 1800s is enough without adding ghosts. The crash and decomposing body certainly did happen but is it relevant really. SuzanneKn (talk) 21:32, 18 January 2008 (UTC) PS I'm not sure what exploding animals have to do with it.
