[edit] Removal of older discussion threads
Why have the old discussion threads been removed? I thought the general consensus on Wikipedia was to leave them all until the page reached a certain size (or date?) and then put them in a talk page archive.
I'm going to revert this page in a few days if no-one has any objections. I don't see why they are removed just because they may be a few months old - plenty of talk pages keep them! Vanguard 01:04, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, I've just found this from the talk page guidelines page.
- 'When pages get too long: Archive — don't delete: When a talk page has become too large or a particular subject is no longer being discussed, don't delete the content — archive it. See Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page for details on why and how to.
- I'm putting everything back as per the rules. Please check or ask in the future. Vanguard 01:12, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- I've created an archive sub-page which you can reach through the archive box on this page. Vanguard 01:32, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] German Army invasion plans
I remember, in the past, the article had a rather interesting bit about the town being on invasion plans for the German Army, due to its location and industrial importance? Was this correct? And is it worth putting it back into the article if it is?Bluebear89 (talk) 16:46, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
