Burnaby's ratio of residents to park land is one of the highest in North America.

This seems to be saying that there are very few parks. (If your ratio is 100 residents to every 1 square metre of park, that's a very high ratio that means you have few parks.) Is this the case? -- Montrealais

Hmmm I didn't write that line, but somehow I doubt that it was meant that way. They probably meant the opposite. Not that I'm sure of the opposite either. I guess there *are* quite a few parks, but there are lots in Toronto, Montreal, even New York, Boston... moink 21:46, 12 Jun 2004 (UTC)
I live in Burnaby, and I can tell you that there's a lot of parkspace. We have large chunks of park land on the Western side of Burnaby (Central Park) and an even larger chunk in central Burnaby (Deer Lake, Burnaby Lake. Carson . Talk 29 June 2005 21:09 (UTC)
I also live in Burnaby, and on a Gr. 5 field trip, I seem to recall the mayor saying that burnaby has a lot of parks, and he stated a statistic that I can't remember supporting that. I'll look on the Burnaby website to see if there's anything there. 24.84.101.16 06:30, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Actually no wish to edit as ratios escape me. (lol) Not much on Burnaby History posted and wonder where all the anecdotes, musings and historical family diaries and things are??

Check out http://www.clydesdalestreet.blogspot.com

Humerous period of time on the Highway entrance to the Highway #1 just off Boundary Road. There must be stories like this somewhere. Perhaps the Library's keep historical references that are not necessarily official but just diaries and diatribe. Wondering.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure they only have city archives, and they're all at McGill. Side note: we need to find that 'tree' logo of Burnaby and put it on the page. Carson Talk 29 June 2005 20:53 (UTC)

Are you sure burnaby still has farms, it would seem to me that it wouldn't because a) seem unlikely and b)I looked on google aerth and could see no farms near burnaby, ok I looked again, just now, it seems that there is apporx. 2 farms in burnaby with about 4 fields. Is this land part of the ALR does anyone know?

Hi everyone, How can I add Burnwood-Montecito to the list of Bby neighbourhoods? Editing doesn't seem to work. It is NOT part of Westridge, they are distictly different. Thy - FP
