[edit] History section
I have problems with the history section of this article. Right now, it is a word-for-word copy of this website. Instead of just copying the material, it should be paraphrased and greatly shortened. --MatthewUND(talk) 03:41, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- I have read the section in Wikipedia and at the Burlington, ND website, the link used in the article. Except for spelling corrections in the Wikipedia article, it does indeed appear to be a word-for-word copy. In the U. S., only the work of the U. S. Federal Government is in the public domain; Per my reading of What's copyrighted? Copyright exists automatically upon creation in a tangible form... and the FAQ Copyright FAQ, state and municipal governments enjoy the rights of other individuals and corporations: their work becomes copyrighted upon being put into final form and published. I will add the {{copypaste}} tag, since it seems possible to demark specific sections with that tag, rather than entire articles as with the other copy violation template. The copy and paste appears to have orginated with User:R9tgokunks with his 02:08, 23 March 2006 edit. Since this was done early in his editing career, and he provided the link the municipal web site, I assume he had no malice and probably did not think of this as plagarism. However, this section will have to be written from scratch, and, yes, shorter, for at present it dominates the article. Gosgood 14:11, 1 April 2007 (UTC)

- I've removed the material until it can be rewritten. --MatthewUND(talk) 20:26, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
