Description	The Soviet Buran shuttle on its first-and-only launch on 15 November 1988.
Source	Unknown; downloaded from the Commons. It was claimed to be a NASA photo from [2], but it is not there as of 15 November 2007, and it is obviously not from the American space agency.

Portion used	Portion of original photo is unknown. Shows the vehicle on its launcher.
Low resolution?	320 x 498 pixels; image is not of great quality.
Purpose of use	To illustrate the only launch of the only Russian space shuttle.
Replaceable?	This is a unique historical event, so there is no opportunity to replace this photograph. The actual shuttle was destroyed in a 2002 building collapse.
