Bursa verrucosa is a species of large sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Bursidae, known as the frog shells.

This species is endemic to eastern Australia including Lord Howe Island, and the North Island of New Zealand between North Cape and East Cape including offshore islands and the Kermadec Islands.

This frog shell is found at depths of between 10 and 50 m.
[edit] Shell description
This large shell is coloured cream, the nodes are a dark-brown, and there are purplish-brown lines in the interstices of the inner lip wrinkles.
The shell height is up to 57 mm, and the width is up to 33 mm.
