The Burrowing Parakeet (Cyanoliseus patagonus) also known as the Patagonian Conure is a species of parrot in the Psittacidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Cyanoliseus. It is mainly found in Argentina. A very much reduced population still survives in Chile, and migration of some Argentinean populations to Uruguay has been reported for the winter months. Sometimes strong westerly winds bring some individuals as far as the Falkland Islands.
Its natural habitats is the arid bush steppe community known as Monte.
