Burning from the Inside is the fourth album by British gothic rock band Bauhaus, released in 1983 on Beggar's Banquet Records. The album was released in the UK with the catalogue number BEGA45, and two further editions were released - one a picture disk (BEGA45P), with a full size die-cut sleeve and confusingly another BEGA45P which was the standard black vinyl with a sleeve with only a standard label sized die-cut sleeve.
[edit] History
During the recording of the album, singer Peter Murphy was gravely ill, leaving the rest of the band to undertake much of the recording process without him. As evidence of how much input the rest of the band had on the album, bassist David J and guitarist Daniel Ash sang lead vocals on a number of songs. This, combined with the fact that the band started recording without Peter, led to internal difficulties, and by the time the album was released, they had already broken up.
A video was made for the single "She's in Parties".
