"Burning a Sinner" is a song by doom metal band Witchfinder General. It was released as a single in 1981, which is their debut release. An alternate version was later featured on their first album, Death Penalty. In 1996 the single was reissued by Old Metal Records with an the colors of the cover inverted. In 2004 Phoenix Records released a 12" that features both songs from the single as the B-side. The A-side features two songs from the Soviet Invasion EP. In 2007 the single was released on CD for the first time on the compilation Buried Amongst the Ruins.
