Burlington Elementary School is located in the city of Burlington, Kansas. It occupies the main building in the city's central education complex. It is the only elementary school in the USD 244 school district.

To the east of the main building is the school districts Administration Building, and to the northeast is the County Courthouse. To the north of the building is a large "pillar park" in a simi-circle around the school's main flagpole, ans two separate play areas used during reccess periods are situated to the Southeast and Northwest.
Other notable details include:
- There are now an IDL lab, multiple computer labs, a nurse’s office, and two conferencerooms.
- A gymnasium and small theater are on the North-Eastern corner of the main building.
- The administration offices are at the heart of the facility, along with counseling rooms and a Library.
- A cafeteria are located on the East side of the building.
- To the far West is the Burlington Outdoor Swimming Pool.

Burlington Elementary School is designated as a 3A school due to the size of BHS's population. This occurred in 2003 after several large classes graduated without adequate replacements from BMS, dropping the district from 4A classification.
[edit] Extracurricular Activities
The mascot of Burlington Elementary School is the Cats. They have taken this name to coencide with the High School and Middle School mascots, the Wildcats and Bobcats.
Most of the sport organizing and activities at this grade level are handled by the local recreation center. Some of these sports include:

USD 244 has the basic elementary school schedule in which most of the day is spent in the same classroom, with the exception of special activity times.
The day starts at 8:14, and concists of periods devoted to Reading, Writing, Math, Earth Science, Social Science, and special activities. Special activities include, but are not limited to Physical Education, Recess, Library Time, and Assembly. There is of course one break for the students for lunch, and varies depending on the student's grade and teacher's schedule.
