Burleson High School is a four year public high school consisting of grades 9-12 located in Burleson, Texas and is part of the Burleson Independent School District.

In 1901, Burleson's first school, the Red Oak Academy was constructed. It was destroyed by fire in 1909. The State of Texas granted a charter for an independent school district and the citizens of Burleson voted to construct a new school. By 1910 the new school was opened. In 1997, a new building for the high school was built at 100 Elk Drive.

Burleson High School offers the following Advanced Placement Courses:
AP English Language, AP English Literature, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Physics (B), AP Biology, AP US History, AP European History, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP Human Geography, AP World History, AP Psychology, AP Spanish Language, AP Spanish Literature, AP German Language, AP French Language, AP French Literature, AP Music Theory, and AP Art History
In addition to the AP courses taught at BHS, a number of dual enrollment courses are taught as well. These include:

Burleson was a state semifinalist in the 4A state title in football in 2001. In 2006, Burleson won the 5-A District Championship in football over Mansfield Summit High School.

The school has over 30 organizations, which include community service, foreign language, sports, and UIL organizations.

"Elk TV" first aired in the 2005-2006 school year. It is the school's weekly news program which is written, directed and edited by the students in the broadcast journalism class.

- Stacy Sykora is a 2 time Olympian. She competes in volleyball. Once in 2000 and again in 2004 and is a Burleson alumnist.
