Burglar is a 1987 American comedy film directed by Hugh Wilson and distributed by Warner Bros. The film stars Whoopi Goldberg and Bobcat Goldthwait. Goldberg plays Bernice "Bernie" Rhodenbarr, a former burglar who resumes when a police officer (G.W. Bailey) blackmails her. Things take a turn for the worse when the house Bernice burgles has a dead body in it, and she's the only suspect. The film was adapted from the 1978 novel The Burglar in The Closet by Lawrence Block; in Block's book, Bernie Rhodenbarr is a white man. It was also the first live-action production from the Canadian animation company, Nelvana.
[edit] Suggested Move Twist
It would have been funny if the package she received in the opening of the movie would have contained 25K in Cash. And she did not open the package until the last minute of the film. Then when she saw the 25K in cash would have known she did not have to do the job for the dentist. Avoiding all the problems that came with that job.
