The Burgess Model I was a United States reconnaissance seaplane built for the United States Army in 1913. It was of conventional biplane design but with an engine mounted amidships in the fuselage driving via chains two large pusher propellers mounted on the interplane struts. The undercarriage consisted of twin pontoons. The single example built was deployed to Corregidor in the Philippines where it was destroyed in an accident on take-off less than two weeks later.
