Burgess Abernethy (born 21 February 1987) is an Australian actor, best known for his role of Zane Bennett in H2O: Just Add Water, in which he plays the "bad boy" who forms a relationship with one of the main characters. He also featured in an episode of Home and Away as Sean Evans.
In the Nickelodeon teen show, H2O, he falls in love with a mermaid Rikki later in season in one. He is constantly forced to choose between loyalties: the three mermaids, or his dad. For a short time, between Seasons 1 and 2, Zane leaves, but he comes back in Season 2 in an episode called "Double Trouble", the third episode of the season (2x03). In this episode, when Zane comes back, Rikki tries to avoid him but wonders if she can do it and its the best thing for her. Zane proves as a more supporting boyfriend for Rikki in Season 2.
