Burdwan Municipal Girls' High School is one of the oldest schools in India, having been established on 26th August 1936 by the efforts of Bardhaman Municipal Authority. It is located in Kalibazar, Burdwan in the state of West Bengal, India.

The school is a girls' school.One of the oldest institution of girls' education in Burdwan.The main school building has been developed in the buildings of british colonial architecture.

The school offers students an extensive array of extra curricular opportunities, such as the creative arts, singing, dancing and a wide range of sports.

Besides the annual sports events, the school has regular basket ball team that participates in the District level championships. Athletics is also very popular amongst the students.

The Independence day (15th August), Saraswati Puja, Annual sports meet in winter, Netaji's birthday (23rd January), Republic day (26th January), School Foundation Day (26th August), Alumni-meet (27th August) and Prize distribution ceremony (28th August) are all celebrated with lot of fanfare.

This school is a higher secondary school (from class 1 to 12).

The curriculum is as per "West Bengal Board of Secondary Education" (till class 10) and "West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education" (Class 11 and 12).

The common curriculum is followed till class 10. In class 11 and 12, there are 2 streams: Science and Arts.
