Buracona

Buracona (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK and the São Vicente Crioulo: Burakina) is a cape and a small bay located in the west of the island of Sal in Cape Verde. The cape is approximately four km west of the island capital of Espargos. The point is accessed with the road linking with Palmeira and the west of the island. The cape are surrounded by palm trees.

The cape's soil colour are light brown, tan-red, butterscotch and rarely brown. The bay extends from Fontona north to another promontory.

The promontory offers a panoramic of the western portion of the island of Sal as well as its mountains including most of Monte Grande.
