English: A female beetle of Buprestis octoguttata, ~15 mm long, laying eggs into chinks of dead wood.

Deutsch: Ein Weibchen des Achtpunktigen Kiefernprachtkäfers (Buprestis octoguttata), ca. 15 mm lang, legt Eier in Ritzen von besonntem Totholz ab (Sand-Magerrasen- und Kiefernwaldgebiet in Nordostniedersachsen).
