[edit] re:Makki di Roti
Hey there, that link goes to Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links, which is basically a big long list of pages that have links to disambiguation pages. A disambiguation page is needed when lots of things have the same name, for example... Punjab is a disambig page, because there is Punjab in Pakistan, Punjab in India, Punjab as a British Indian province... etc. What I did on that page was change Punjab to Punjab. That way, the link reads "Punjab", but instead of going to the disambiguation page, actually goes to the Punjab region article.
When I write "lend a hand", it just means that there are lots of disambiguation pages where the links have piled up, and it's good to have people working on them to clear them up, and point them to the correct article. For example, if I wrote "Haryana borders UP and Punjab", it would go the page with different options on it. Instead, I would change it to "Haryana borders UP and Punjab.
That's all there is to it, really! :) Does that make things clearer? If not, drop me a line again. — riana_dzasta • t • c • e • 17:58, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- No worries! I was just reading your userpage, do you have a biology background? That's what I'm aiming for as well. Still a few years to go til then, though :) Do you contribute to the science articles here at all? — riana_dzasta • t • c • e • 18:03, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- Cool. Well, cheers, have a good day! — riana_dzasta • t • c • e • 18:07, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Deleting comments
Your deletion of Carnildo's comments was absolutely inappropriate. If you do that again, you may be blocked. Please review WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 21:53, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- The issue is what makes his/her writings that pretend to be conclusive, more valuable than the entire discussion? No mala fide intent. Apologies. Bunty.Gill 21:55, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
- I'm well, thanks... yikes, I see you're in a spot of trouble? Careful there! :) Anyway, if you like, you can email me; I'd prefer to reserve my talk page for WP-related discussion. Cheers, — riana_dzasta • t • c • e • ER • 01:48, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Help Needed
Since you were active on the Chandigarh page- slight dispute over notability of Capt Navdeep Singh, and if he 1. Warrants an article in the first place, and 2. Deserves to be in the Famous Chandigarhian's list as his fan/s seem to insist. Haphar 16:50, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RLS
http://www.nature.com/ng/journal/v39/n8/full/ng0807-938.html This is about the article on Restless Legs Syndrome, since it says that the genetics are unknown. That is not correct any more. Bunty.Gill 22:41, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- If you're going to waste my time with a drive-by, first of all, give me a link that I can actually access. I cannot read it. Secondly, provide me with the diff, so I know what this refers too. And thirdly, how about a little common decency to explain what is or what is not correct, especially when all I've ever done to the article is delete some alternative medicine bullshit. If there's some genetic studies that shows (never proves anything) a relationship, well great. I'm glad. But what do I have to do with it? OrangeMarlin Talk• Contributions 00:20, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Frederick Dominguez
A tag has been placed on Frederick Dominguez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
