[edit] Why not English name?

I thought it was Wikipedia policy to name articles according to the Wikipedia language, i.e., English on English Wikipedia. The German name should be the redirect. --RenniePet (talk) 13:57, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Doesn't WP:ENGLISH apply here? See also Order of the Badge of Honor, for example. The translation of the name would be "Federal Cross of Merit" or, officially, "Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany" -- megA (talk) 17:16, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
If we go by Google counts, as WP:ENGLISH suggests, it would still be Bundesverdienstkreuz. 84.75.172.225 (talk) 06:37, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
