Removed a lot of seemingly vague material. Tussock/bunch grasses are common on all soil types so the specific reference to serpentine soils seems odd. Tussock grasses are still common in the US, most of the midwestern prairies and southern grasslands are covered in the stuff. Tussock grasses reach their highest diversity and productivity in tropical grasslands such as the pampas or African savannas so any concentration on the US is hardly justifiable.

[edit] What to list under "See also"?

I added Nassella under See also, but perhaps that should be replaced with the scientific name of a family of tussock grasses instead. In other words, I would like to see a "see also" pointing to the appropriate taxon or taxa for tussock grasses. --Eastmain (talk) 06:06, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
