Bunyip is a railway station on the Bairnsdale railway line in Bunyip, Victoria, Australia. The station is located on Longwarry Road and is 79km from Southern Cross Station. The station is in a island format, and the remains of a former goods platform and a crane facility is opposite the single platform.
The track up to the Melbourne end of the station was duplicated in 1956, but the section from Bunyip to Longwarry remains single track due to the bridge over the Bunyip River. The line was electrified in 1954 but it removed from Bunyip to Warragul in 1998, and from Pakenham to Bunyip in 2001.[1] However a substation and short section of overhead have been maintained just outside the station.
