Greater Black Krait Bungarus niger is a species of snake found in India (Assam [Cachar district], Sikkim; Arunachal Pradesh (Miao - Changlang district, Itanagar - Papum Pare district) ), Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan. Type locality: "Tindharia, eastern Himalayas, India"
