Talk:Bum flap

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Excuse me, I found this article about bum flaps ridiculously informative. Do you mind if I use it in my master's thesis entitiled "Bum Flaps: How and Why Did Cum To This?"

-I always thought bum-flaps were actually flannel shirts tied around the waist and dangling in the back. I had no idea they were a separate article of clothing

[edit] Ridiculous

Seriously, first it says they first appeared in Vivienne Westwoods SEX shop, and then that they were on pyjammas and military clothing. That's a major contradiction, even Westwood herself admits she doesn't know what purpose they serve other than aesthetics; I seriously doubt they protect from cold weather (among other things). Also the original Vivienne Westwood bumflaps were made of terry cloth, the longer tartan versions worn on the front and back of the bondage trousers were called kilt flaps. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.63.200.10 (talk) 21:16, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
