The use of "Bulgars" to refer to present day Bulgarians is inappropriare, as it refers to the tribe that bore the same name before the establishment of Bulgaria as a state in the 7th century. The "Blue Guide" is hardly an authority on appropriate pronounciation.

Quick points:

  • I don't think the image is identified properly. It should be tagged with the image, not on the page.
  • The page name needs work. "Bulgarian St Stephen Church" is awkward. The Blue Guide calls it "Church of St. Stephen of the Bulgars."

Any responses? If none, I'll make some changes. Lectiodifficilior 21:04, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Although I cannot agree with this "borrowing” theory, I agree that “Bulgars” is not exactly correct name, the correct should be Bulgarians
