Bullseye Records of Canada

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bullseye Records of Canada, Inc., or just Bullseye Records, is a musician-run Canadian record label created in 1985 by Jaimie Vernon and Simon Bedford-James as an outlet for their band at the time -- Moving Targetz.

After Bedford-James left the group to form Swedish Fish, the label had its second act on the roster and the label became fully active as a vanity label right through the '90s.

In 2000, owner Jaimie Vernon launched the label full-time as a Canadian Classic Rock re-issues label for the preservation of previously released recordings and new material by still active evergreen recording artists.

Today, the label has North American representation for Klaatu, early The Guess Who, Goddo, Harem Scarem, Bob Segarini, Honeymoon Suite, Killer Dwarfs, The Kings, The Carpet Frogs, Terry Draper, Dee Long, Mainline, Brutus, Twitch, Battered Wives, Bruno Gerussi's Medallion, Ian Anderson, Leo Sayer, David Quinton of The Mods, Keith Whittaker of The Demics, Brave Belt, Dave Rave of Teenage Head, Jeff Jones of Red Rider and Ocean, Holly Woods of Toronto, The First Time, Jamie Dart, Michael White, Joe Mannix, Kate Schrock, Melanie Joy, Maureen Leeson, Moxy, Jaimie Vernon, Cheaper Than Therapy, and Velvet Hammer among others.
