[edit] Stage Act

Bullett and Gunn's live set is characterised by their scabrous irreverence towards pop, which they express through banter and song. The content seems at least indirectly informed by Alford's political views and by Morton's experiences in pop music.

[edit] Shows

Between 2003 and 2006, Bullett and Gunn featured primarily as support on the England and Wales comedy and music circuits, culminating in their own show at the Edinburgh Festival, "The Massive Pop Explosion".

In 2007, they wrote a new show, "Bullett and Gunn Go Ballistic" for the Camden Fringe and played at the band tent for the Glastonbury Festival. They have also performed at the Taking the Piste festival in the French Alps.

[edit] Reception

The comedy site Chortle was lukewarm about "The Massive Pop Explosion", saying that the songs were "strong" but that overall the set was a rehash of "the same twenty minutes they've been opening on the club circuit with for the past year". Earlier in their career, the website had described Bullett and Gunn as having "style and verve" with "professionalism to match much more experienced acts".

[edit] Audio-Visual

In 2008 Morton produced and presented two comedy series - "Live at the Adam and Eve" and "You Cannot Say That" - on Red TV (Sky 186), for which Alford wrote and performed. The Bullett and Gunn MySpace site also distributes their audio sketches.

[edit] Origins

The name Bullett and Gunn is a modern take on the double act Cannon and Ball, a reference to Alford and Morton's upbringing in the seaside town of Torquay, which is known for putting on old comics during the summer seasons.
