Bulletin of the History of Medicine is an academic journal founded in 1939. Since 1939, it has served as the official publication of the American Association for the History of Medicine. It is also the official publication of the Johns Hopkins Institute of the History of Medicine. The journal covers social, emotional, cultural, and scientific aspects of the history of medicine and includes critical reviews of recent literature in the field. The editors of the journal are Dr. Randall M. Packard and Dr. Mary E. Fissell of JHU.
The journal is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December. Its circulation is 1,884 and the average length of an issue is 256 pages.
