[edit] History
Initially founded in 1997 by Andrew Connel in New Zealand. His first versions of the server software offered reliability and performance because on those early days of the internet, the program's goal was sustained file transfer over many days and even weeks on a dial-up. Out of this, the "BulletProof" brand gained its bulletproof reputation.
In July 2002, BulletProof FTP was purchased by DigitalCandle, Inc. of Seattle, WA and operations were moved to the United States.
In July 2007, BulletProof FTP was purchased by BulletProof Software LLC of Seattle, WA and development and operations continued with the release of new versions and products.
