Parliamentary elections will be held in Bulgaria on 14 June 2009, a date meant to coincide with the 2009 election to the European Parliament. (However, the EP election will be held on 7 June 2009 – whether the Bulgarian election date will be moved forward a week is unclear.) The voting system will be changed from a purely proportional system back to the mixed system last used in the 1990 election.[1]
