'Buldak' alternatively Buldalk (Korean:불닭) is a Korean dish made from heavily spiced chicken. The term "bul" translates into "fire" in Korean and "dak" means "chicken". A decade ago, Buldak became famous for its extreme spiciness. Even some Koreans cannot eat Buldak for this reason.

[edit] Trends

There used to be only one chain of restaurants which serve Buldak. This was launched in the year 2000, but now there are many business franchises which serve only or mainly Buldak. This has led to the development of oher dishes inspired from Buldak. In recent years, however, its popularity has declined somewhat.
