Bulancak is a town and a district of Giresun Province on the Black Sea coast of Turkey, near to the city of Giresun.
With a population of 32,500 Bulancak is the largest town in the province apart from Giresun itself.
Bulancak is only a short drive from Giresun, is easily reached by public transport and has thus become part of Giresun's urban sprawl, a dirty mess of concrete buildings. The coast used to be a nice place to walk and eat ice cream on a summer evening but the new Black Sea highway has ruined that as well.
