Bukit Damansara

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bukit Damansara or Damansara Heights is a suburb in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, located less than 5 kilometres to the west of the city centre. It is renowned for being one of the most affluent suburbs in KL, and like Bangsar, it is a much sought-after residential and commercial address in the Klang Valley. In popular Malaysian culture, the name "Damansara Heights" or "Bukit Damansara" has become synonymous with wealth. It was dubbed as the Beverly Hills of KL by The Star (Malaysia) tabloid newspaper in 1995, listing it as one of the most expensive housing markets in KL. Many new property developers in and around KL are known to attempt incorporating the word "Damansara" into their developments given its connotations.
