Category talk:Bujinkan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Is it not quite a bit of excaggeration to create a category for Bujinkan related styles?

If we should have one, it should probably be called X-kan instead of Bujinkan. Or Takamatsu-den. But I think it can be removed.

Currently there is a problem with most articles in this category; they present Bujinkan's views as undisputed facts or are otherwise somewhat pro-Bujinkan biased. At least there should be a mention in article that they are specific to the mix of arts originating from Hatsumi. I created this category as a first step towards that direction. Bujinkan and its off-shoots are not koryu but modern organizations so I would like to keep them separate from e.g. Kashima Shin Ryu (which I'm going to add in future). How do you group related articles together, if not with categories? Just dump everything into List of martial arts-related topics? I chose the name 'Bujinkan' for the category because it is more well known than X-kan (really ugly name, IMHO!) or Takamatsu-den, but I won't oppose if someone wants to change it. jni 07:30, 23 Sep 2004 (UTC)
