Buja is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 km northwest of Trieste and about 20 km northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,758 and an area of 27.9 km².[1]
The municipality of Buja contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Avilla, San Floreano, Sopramonte, Solaris, Madonna, Urbignacco, Santo Stefano, Collosomano, Sottocostoia, Ursinins Grande, Ursinins Piccolo, Monte, Arba, Caspigello, Campo Garzolino, Saletti, Tomba, Sala, Sottocolle, and Ca' Martino.
