[edit] Merge with Chevrolet Venture
This is a near idential corporate cousin of the Chevrolet Venture and should be merged with it. Novasource 15:50, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
The Buick GL8 should not be merged with the Chevrolet Venture because it is a separate car. Yes it's similar to the Venture but not the SAME CAR! Look at the Chrysler vans. They each have separate articles. Bavaria 13:18, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- They are the same car. They share engines, platforms, build, manufacturing practices, etc. This fact is well substantiated in trade publications.
- From Merging and moving pages: You should merge when "there are two or more pages on related subjects that have a large overlap." Despite what GM's marketing department may wish the public to believe, there is enormous overlap in these vehicles. They are virtually identical. Marketing is marketing and must not be confused with the reality of the vehicles.
- I can't comment on the Chrysler van issue, but if you take a look at the minivan articles, there is an embarrassing amount of overlap.
- The differences are minor details, not the essences of the vehicles.
