This mid-size Buick wagon was an extended-wheelbase version of the Buick Skylark model and it was built in three generations, spanning 1964-67, 1968-69 and 1970-72. Introduced on February 4, 1964 by General Motors, it was the corporate sister of the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser.

The 1964 to 1967 models had a Skyroof which consisted of 4 tinted glass panels surrounding the elevated section of the roof, and a radical redesign for 1968 replaced the previously-used split main skylight with a one-piece skylight over the second-row seat, which carried over to 1969. From 1970-72, it was an upscale trim level of the similar, less expensive Buick Skylark wagon, and skylights were not offered. The 1964-69 models also offered an available third seat which was not available on the Buick Skylark wagon.
