Buhler Industries Inc. (TSX: BUI) was established in 1979. It designs and manufactures agricultural machinery for use in small and large scale farming. Products include augers, cultivators, landscape rakes, mowers, tractors, and wheel loaders. Buhler also makes snow blowers and belt conveyors.
The company was founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist John Buhler.
The company operates a total of ten factories in Canada and the United States.
It began trading on the TSE in 1994. In 2000, the company acquired the Versatile Tractor division of New Holland Ag. A prolonged and controversial strike at the company after the takeover almost crippled the plant.
It is headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
