We should get images of the various types of bugs.- B-101 13:30, 15 Sep 2004 (UTC)

"Brain Bug—Leader of a Bug colony. It is created when a colony's size reaches three hundred generations. In the Movie, it is fed by drinking a human's brain."

I think it was not feeding on human brain, it was "learning" about humans that way. It was not explained, but seems more sensible. - Despil, 14:29, Jun 08 2005

There's no such thing as a Worker Bug in the movies. This should be removed from the page. Chariot Bugs may do the manual labour but we have no evidence that they do anything other than carry the Brain Bug around.

There were two new types of Bugs in 'Hero of the Federation', the Parasite Bug and the Spy Bug. The Parasite Bug is the spider-like creature that crawls into a person's mouth and the Spy Bug is the caterpillar-like creature that the Parasite Bug metamorphoses into. The Spy Bug controls the person's body and creates more Parasite Bugs.

Tehre is also mention on the novel of a Royal Caste, Queens. I don't recall it having any more detail than that, other than they had never found one, dead or alive. Also, this page is for Bug in general, not specifically on the movie alone.

The article says that workers are identicle to the warriors, this is different to the book. Near the beginning (I think, I read a lot of the book in one go) Rico says how he was taught the difference between the bugs and near the end of the book (the section mentioned in the article) Rico tells one of his 'trigger-happy' officers to look at the bugs he is shooting. --TheMightyShoeHorn 21:48, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

There are slight anatomical differences between the Workers and Warriors, but the main difference between the two in the book is that Warriors will charge forward with Lasers, while Workers will run from the fight. Also, in the book, only the Royals are really smart. The Workers and Warriors are about as smart as chimps. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.126.92.60 (talkcontribs).

Ah, the Royals are never seen, just suspected. Only the Brain bugs are the confirmed intelligent bugs.--TheMightyShoeHorn 19:19, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Castes of Bugs?

Do these castes only apply to the movie? Or are they based on the book? That needs to be explained at the opening of the topic heading.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Warrior Bugs attacking.jpg

Image:Warrior Bugs attacking.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Missing bug from the game

in the 2005 pc game, there is a bug that looks like a royal bug but its called the X-bug, apparently bred by a psy ops general called houser (or a name that sounds like that). the x bug seems to be very smart, and it was used by the federation army to lure a great number of bugs to a bunker in hesperus. i think it should be mentioned in the page
