Bugnara is a comune and town in the Province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of Italy This small mountain village has grown in the past years. A small hotel and restaurant are located in the town borders. There are six daily trains to Sulmona.

The village is located between local hub Sulmona and the popular tourist destination of Scanno. Buses run from Scanno, past Bugnara, and on to Sulmona and Rome. Bugnara is on the slopes of Monte Genzana, a ridge that runs from Scanno to Introdaqua. Trails lead up the mountain from Bugnara and the village has an active trekking club.
