[edit] Image Tagging Image:Wille Nile.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Wille Nile.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, ie in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{gfdl}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{fairuse}}.) See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Secretlondon 06:01, 4 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Wille Nile.jpg has been listed for deletion
An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:Wille Nile.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. |
[edit] Jewell / Jewel
Hi there. Thanks for contacting me.
My addition to Jewell had nothing to do with the spelling of the name Jewell. The addition was actually a reference to the gemstone, and not about any names. Disambiguation pages exist in order to point people in the direction of the article they were originally looking for. It is entirely plausable that jewell could be a mis-spelling of jewel, especially to somebody who does not speak English as their native language. Because of this, both my and your addition to Jewell are valid.
Thanks for your time. If you would like to ask me anything else, either about the Jewell article or anything else on Wikipedia, please drop me another message on my talk page. Finally, it is generally accepted that Wikipedians should sign their name and date on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~), and not just their name. -- gtdp (T)/(C) 23:59, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Episcopal Church
I see you have been heroically fixing a number of links and redirects related to Anglicanism.
- I agree with most of them, but I reverted 2 or 3 redirects; my explanation is at Talk:Episcopal#Why Episcopal needs disambiguation
- These fixes may turn out to be never-ending task. Please comment on my move proposal at Talk:Episcopal Church#Proposed move, as I think that would help a lot.

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Willienilecd.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Willienilecd.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Jeeny Lou Carson.
Sorry for getting back to you so late; you were right about Jenny Lou Carson's origin. At the time, I was just adding infoboxes to articles that needed them and I didn't pay enough attention. My mistake. I've removed the origin. Acalamari 19:13, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Willie Nile Streets of NY.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Willie Nile Streets of NY.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 03:24, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Rollback
Hello BuffaloBob, I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck.
