Buffalo Trace (road)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The (Old) Buffalo Trace or Vincennes Trace was a trackway running through what is now the American state of Indiana. Originally formed by migrating bison the trace ran from near the Falls of the Ohio to the Wabash River near Vincennes. It later became an important route for settlers in Indiana. The first stagecoach service along the length of the trace from New Albany to Vincennes was started in 1820.[1]
