[edit] Japanese-Korean treaty articles

Thank you very much for fulfilling my request at Translation into English/Japanese and starting English articles for the Japan-Korea Protectorate Treaty of 1904 and the Japan-Korea Annexation Treaty of 1907! Wikipeditor 08:07, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Barnsensu

WikiProject Japan Barnsensu Award
For your excellent work on some of the more obscure Japan-related topics, including nengō. It's great to have people with true passion and expertise not only for the common stuff, but for the more obscure stuff too, to more fully flesh out the 'pedia's coverage of Japanese topics.

[edit] Hōkō-ji

There is no article on 法光寺 in Aomori Prefecture on ja: wikipedia; but, there is a mention of 白華山法光寺 in ja:南部町 (青森県). Should it be restored to the disambig page? Neier 22:08, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

I see. I'm in no way a temple expert, but I do know how ubiquitous they are. I wasn't sure if the mention in the ja: town article was because it was notable, or not. It seems you've done your homework. Thanks for the reply. Neier 04:55, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hōkō-ji (Kyoto)

What logic explains your removing refernces from this article, or from any article for that matter? There is a well-publicized problem with unreferenced material in Wikipedia texts; and this well-known criticism of Wikipedia's reliability only makes your actions more difficult to fathom. Please explain.

In future, if you see that the article is one that I've created, or the history reveals that I've posted the reference source, I'd appreciate a heads up. It takes you only a matter of keystrokes to undo what it took hours to create, and this becomes something of a disappointment -- especially when I have reason to assume that you are likely to have a plausible explanation. [edit] Nova

not sure if you are watching the talk page, so I though I would just post here. In response to the METI restrictions, Sahashi issued a statement 2 days later that they would be looking for a capitol tie up, so in that regard, METI and the attempt to court HIS or any other company are related and would go in that section. Current financial crisis is a part of the history of the company's health. I've copied this over to the talk page and would appreciate it if we could discuss it further thereStatisticalregression 04:11, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Mii-dera

Hi Bueller 007,

Thanks for adding another writing of the name of the temple to the article on Mii-dera. I looked it up in the temple's web site and didn't find that way of writing the name, so I wonder if it's obsolete when referring to Onjō-ji? If Daijisen gave any additional information it might be worth telling readers so they don't think they have a choice of how to write it.

Google produces a 御井寺 in Kurume, but a quick look didn't turn up anything with both ways of writing the temple name (except a disambiguation page in the Japanese Wikipedia, and mirrors).

[edit] Japanese castes

Hi

I have seen you put a request for source concerning the division of the uppe-caste in 4 subcastes. I wrote the original article, which was actually an adaptation of the Japanese wiki article 五色の賤 I do not have anything more precise than that... If you can find anything, I guess that would be helpful for the article

regards

Tensaibuta (talk) 03:50, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the answer. OK, seems reasonable, maybe someone on the JP version will substantiate it a bit.

Regards

[edit] WP:WQA

Whatever good which might have attended a discussion here is best held in abeyance pending whatever develops from inquiries at WP:WQA. In this context, I take some comfort in learning from HelloAnnyong that, at the higher levels of dispute resolution, both users come under scrutiny. I'm quite confident that my entire editing history can withstand close scrutiny. I can't see how User:Bueller 007 can feel similarly at ease with the prospect of a too-revealing examination. --Tenmei (talk) 21:59, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Japanese calligraphy by Satow. The kanji reads "敬和" (Kei-Wa), literally "Respect and harmony".

In light of User:HelloAnnyong's further comments at Talk:Japanese era name#Disputed citation, I have withdrawn my complaint from WP:WQA. Instead, he has convinced me that mediation is the better remedy. No doubt this will take some time. In this evolving context, I would mildly suggest that you and he should re-evaluate what's happening here:
Is it not remotely possible that mine is a reasonable reaction to something unreasonable which has gone on for far too long because I didn't know how to ameliorate the situation?
Think again. --Tenmei (talk) 15:55, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
