Buenavista is a municipality in the province of Marinduque, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 19,271 people in 3,868 households.

In 1942, the Japanese Imperial forces occupied in Buenavista, Marinduque.
In 1945, the Allied Philippine Commonwealth forces landed in Buenavista, Marinduque with the Allied Philippine pilots and paratroopers attacked from the Japanese Imperial forces in the Battle of Marinduque during World War 2.
