[edit] Gabriel Pizza

Reasoning for removing tag is i didn't know what it was - thought it was an error. I am not trying to advertise, i saw pizza pizza and papa johns and various other pizza places and thought this would be a good place to speak about the Companies history in Ottawa. They have been in the NCR for 30 years and are a large contributor to charities and youth sports. It is a retail succes story and a part of the history of Orleans, ON. I intend to add more information in regards to marketing techniques, company history, and future of the comapny. I do not see any difference between any oth e following listed pages and the one i am trying to post. Please let me know how i can correct this to keep it online. reference pages: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greco_Pizza_Restaurant, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panago, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pizza_Pizza, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/241_Pizza, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Caesars

A tag has been placed on Gabriel Pizza, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -FisherQueen (Talk) 19:08, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Removed tag

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with Gabriel Pizza. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. -FisherQueen (Talk) 19:17, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Yes, there are large, national pizza chains on Wikipedia, all of which have their notability clearly established in the articles. Check out the notability guidelines to determine whether this company is truly notable- if it is, then all you have to do is add the appropriate information to the page, and it won't be deleted. Wiki welcomes articles about notable companies, but editors can't determine notability unless it's written and referenced in the article Good luck! -FisherQueen (Talk) 19:51, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
