Budal

Budal is a former municipality in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway.
From 1837 is was a part of Støren formannskapsdistrikt. Budal was separated from Støren in 1879, creating a municipality of its own. At this point Budal had a population of 585.
On January 1, 1964 Budal was merged with the municipalities Singsås, Soknedal and Støren to form the new municipality Midtre Gauldal. Before the merger Budal had a population of 529.
