[edit] My recent RfB
Thank you so much for your participation in my recent RfB. Though it closed with 72% support (below the required 90%), I'm still quite pleased at the outpouring of support shown by a fair percentage of the community.
I'm currently tabulating and calculating all opposing and neutral arguments to help me better address the community's concerns about my abilities as a bureaucrat. If you'd like, you can follow my progress (and/or provide additional suggestions) at User:EVula/admin/RfB notes. Thanks again! EVula // talk // ☯ // 04:30, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] sprotection on Regina SK article
Please consider lifting your semi-protection of Regina, Saskatchewan. You semi-protected it on 19 March 2007 [1] with the summary "IP edit war". BigNate37(T) 17:17, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

I replied to your oppose vote. I hope you don't mind. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup 20:40, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
I replied again, it's rather messy though, but that's the best that I could write without my spell and grammar checker. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup 21:09, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dionigi di Borgo San Sepolcro (2nd nomination)
Hello, I am contacting you because you participated in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Francesco Dionigi, which resulted in the deletion of Francesco Dionigi. A new article has been created about the same person, Dionigi di Borgo San Sepolcro. I have nominated it for deletion, and you may wish to read the new article and comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dionigi di Borgo San Sepolcro (2nd nomination). --Akhilleus (talk) 06:57, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

- At the stub Genealogia deorum gentilium I just made an article from. Please edit to make any improvements you can see or give me some suggestions on the article Talk Page. Thanks.--Doug talk 12:46, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] My RfA
Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I have tried to address the concerns you expressed at my RfA. Even though I feel that edit was BLP compliant, I don't think you'll find anything else objectionable if you go through more of my mainspace edits. Take care! -- But|seriously|folks 03:29, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding Christianity and Buddhism
You said: "Keep. The topic is encyclopedic. Period. Is the article a mess? Yup. WP:SOFIXIT. Bucketsofg 13:01, 10 July 2007 (UTC)"
Your vote only counts if the topic stays at "Christianity and Buddhism," though. Remember the title WAS "Buddhist influences on Christianity." THAT topic was not encyclopedic. WhisperToMe 16:41, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Question
Hi there,
Can you please explain your edit summary here and on a few other images sourced from the same site?
Do you mean that because the source doesnt assert copyright, it is alright to take from such sources? What then will prevent me from dumping the best pictures stolen from elsewhere on my blog and then uploading it onto wiki from my blog? Where ofcourse, there wont be a 'copyright assertion' in sight!
Also, age of the inscription has nothing to do with copyright. Nobody is claiming copyright over the inscription itself. Copyright is only over the photograph of the inscription. The pyramids are 5-6 thousand years old. But if I take a photograph of the pyramids, the rights of the photograph belongs to me unless I release it. Please explain your removal of my tags. Thanks. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Pg79fig1.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Pg79fig1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Bleh999 06:05, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Circus metal (again)
Hello. I am messaging you about the recreation (I believe for the fifth time) of the article Circus metal. I have seen you have participated in a previous AfD procedure for the article, and I would think you would be interested to give your opinion in the most recent one. Thanks in advance.

- I wish this person would compromise, but he will not compromise. You an see his behavior continues here and here. This has stemmed from this discussion. He has already asserted that he WP:OWNs these articles and even went so far as to tell a user that he wanted to do all the Miami Dolphins userboxes. He has insulted me and violated a number of policies and guidelines. I did not violate 3RR. I went through articles and edited them to reflect a compromise that must be used to satisfy both sides of the issue. He then engaged me in edit warring (not the other way around). If you want me to go through dispute resolution, i will, but i don't think that's needed when he has brazenly asserted "I have already proven why my way is correct, and if you can't get it then that's on you." - I'm sorry you've been dragged into this. My comments:
- The edits I've made on Culpepper are accurate, and that is what he simply cannot get. He pretended to offer a compromise, but it was just what he wanted all along. And it was wrong.
- I don't own anything and never claim to. But I am making accurate edits and I stand by them for the good of the encyclopedia.
- Yes, I did ask User:Phbasketball6 if I could do the Miami Dolphins player infoboxes, because it's my favorite team and I enjoy editing them. We were going to split up teams to edit, and I asked if I could do the Dolphins. He happily agreed and asked if he could do the Eagles and Cardinals, and I said I wouldn't edit those. No problem there.
- Jmfangio did violate 3RR, he seems completely delusional about this. You said so yourself.
- Regarding "edit warring", I'll point out that it takes two parties to edit war, neither one more responsible than the other.
- I did prove my side correct, he just doesn't want to accept reason.
-
- Again, I'm sorry you've been brought into this.►Chris Nelson 03:05, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/North American monetary union.
Hi. I've reverted your closure of the AFD, as the speedy keeping guidelines mentions nothing about articles nominated in a vandalised/disruptive state, and I still feel as if the article has some fundamental issues which need addressing. Thanks, Will (talk) 18:17, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
- Well, close it at as a SNOW tommorow (if you can close it as SNOW). Will (talk) 18:37, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Elonka 2
Thank you for taking the time to participate at the discussion in my Request for Adminship. Unfortunately the nomination did not succeed, but please rest assured that I am still in full support of the Wikipedia project. I listened carefully to all concerns, and will do my best to incorporate all of the constructive advice that I received, into my future actions on Wikipedia. If you can think of any other ways that I can further improve, please let me know. Best wishes, Elonka 04:57, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ken Boessenkool
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Ken Boessenkool, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Deiz talk 13:36, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion query
Hi, can you tell me why you deleted the article "Academic Citizenship" on Feb 01 this year. I can't find any info about this in the deletion log. Thanks, Barbara 130.216.169.36 05:13, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Help
I'm currently trapped in a seemingly never-ending revert war with GoldDragon on the Joe Volpe page. There are basically two main points of contention: whether or not information relating to Roy Cullen's riding association should be included, and what the article text should be for the "placement agency" section. Any comment you could provide would be appreciated. CJCurrie 04:08, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Undo semi-protect
I just checked the logs for St. Bartholomew's Day massacre and you have had it semiprotected since Dec. of 2006. Could you unblock it now? I think the edit warring has calmed down. 71.131.29.183 03:30, 3 October 2007 (UTC) (not logged in User:Hairchrm.
[edit] Sean Morrison: deletion question
I would like to know why this page was deleted and/or what I could do that would make it acceptable to repost the page without fear of deletion. For instance, Sean Morrison has won the following awards, and is notable for a number of other reasons. Also, I would like access to the text of the deleted page.
These awards include, according to the Detroit News, "The Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers in 2003, Wired Magazine's Rave Award for Science in 2003 and Technology Review magazine's list of 100 innovators in 2002. Morrison earned the prestigious title of investigator from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in 2000. He became one of more than 300 scientists at research institutes around the county chosen because of his potential to make significant contributions to science" http://detnews.com/specialreports/2006/michiganians/morrison.htm.
If I add information such as this, then is the page acceptable in terms of the notability standards?Aptanalogy (talk) 02:04, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey there,
just a quick note to let you know that we've put your RfA Candidate's Song on the phone system of the new Wikimedia Foundation office in San Francisco, as the "on hold" music. :-) Thanks for recording it - we'll put other fun, free licensed music on the system as well.
