I put this page in, with a pointer from Buck Rogers (science fiction), to explain where Buck Rogers the spaceman got his name from. In the 1920's, there GENUINELY WAS a series of cowboy stories which included the cowboys Buck Rogers and Tom Mix and a horse called Trigger. In the fictional world of some of the stories about Buck Rogers the spaceman, his birth forename is Anthony or William (varies with versions), and he was nicknamed Buck after the cowboy. OK, you modern young types out there won't remember it, in these times when Star Wars and Star Trek etc push the older stories out of public memory and consciousness. I am older and I remember much of the old years. If you want to delete this page again, please put it in Wikipedia:VFD. Anthony Appleyard 07:46, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

Wasn't the cowboy called Roy Rogers with Trigger (horse) ?? mervyn 09:14, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
Roy and that Trigger first appeared in 1938. It would be good to find some source for Buck and Trigger. -- Beardo 11:22, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
