Association of Deletionist Wikipedians

I am a Deletionist. While Wikipedia is not a paper encyclopedia, I hold the belief that a short, poorly-sourced articles do not merit a place here. I also believe Wikipedia is not a social club. As long as the a topic meets all guidelines I have no problem with it. Article subjects must be verifiable, must be notable, must not fall into any catagory listed in Wiki is not.... I support lowering the bar on the deletion process. Wikipedia is not infinite in time or space or meaning, and the current requirement for consensus is too far in favor of non-notable pages/articles.

While I do understand the importance of policies and guidelines, try to follow them, and know that process is important, I do believe that there are some situations where it becomes appropriate to ignore all rules. This means I understand admins can use common sense to close an AfD early, among other things. This does not apply to articles though. All article MUST be verifiable, written in a Neutral Point of View and must NOT be original research.

I believe that there should be a policy allowing persons who do not wish to have and article on themselves in Wikipedia to petition it be removed, regardless of their notability. Personal privacy should not be trumpt by 'right to know'. Everyone should be afforded the right to privacy and I believe WP:Ignore all rules should be applied in these cases.

I am only human and make mistakes. If you find any mistakes, please feel free to edit them and leave a note on my talk page. I try improve my methods to keep errors from recurring. If you've caught an error, please either fix it or let me know. You may be quicker on the keyboard, I may have completely missed it, or I may have had some kind of real life event that this preventing me checking.

Vandalisms of my User pages.

Here is a list of vandalisms that have taken place on my userpages.

Wikipedia issues I believe need to be addressed

  • I believe the Notability articles should be expanded and approved as guidelines. While the trilogy rules (WP:V, WP:OR, WP:POV) are something every article should follow, I think notability should also become a firm rule.
  • I find that there is a lack of accountability for editors. Vandalism and concistant violations of uncivil behavior and re-occurring personal attacks. I believe there should be some way to more easily flag someone for their abuses and then be able to track that history.
  • Schools, in particular primary, are generally unnotable, and there for do not deserve articles. I am a backer of WP:SCHOOLS, and the sooner it can become a recognized rule, the better.
